Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Frequented Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft soaring near a well-attended southern California shoreline abruptly started spinning out of control, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a cluster of palm fronds as spectators observed.
Footage posted on the internet show the chopper beginning to twirl above Huntington Beach then descending near the border of the coast, where it gets stuck amidst palm groves and a steps adjacent to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Information
Local firefighters stated five people were transported to a medical facility involving two individuals who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the crash on the weekend.
Three persons on the road were harmed. Information on their condition were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
