Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was reached following an investigation into allegations of questionable actions involving female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the motivations for this action, noting: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
